“Per Haaland is one of those rare gems in the field of alternative body therapies. I schedule a session with Per when I am sensing structural imbalance, feeling pain in my body, or as a preventative measure. With Per, you receive expert hands combined with a compassionate heart, discerning intuition, and a sense of humor! I highly recommend him.”
“I have been a dancer for 20 years. After trying massage and chiropractic for years, I was referred to Per Haaland. Per’s Rolfing technique is subtle, yet deeply profound. The shape of my body and alignment have completely changed through working with Per. Where I once felt chronic discomfort, there is now release and expansion. My dancing is stronger than ever, due to a difference in how I move. Because I am more aligned, I remain free of injury. I’ve continued to rely on Per’s expertise for years now and still after every session I notice a difference in my alignment and my awareness. By balancing and strengthening my body, I can do all the things I want to do in my life, free from pain and with more fluidity.”
“I have worked many years in construction and later as a professional driver. While other therapies are not to be ignored, I have found Per’s “total body” approach provides additional benefits. First, as in many treatments, I experienced symptomatic relief, secondly, my body clock system re-set to at least 10 years younger. I have experienced tremendous results without the urban mythology of Rolfing discomfort. Thank you Per Haaland!”
““Per created a safe, welcoming, and engaging space to explore the concepts presented in Dynamic Stability. The hybrid online/in-person format provided extra learning, practice, and reflection time. Per’s kind, clear and practical manner fostered a close-knit group that thrived throughout our time together. I look forward to further classes with Per!””
“The online movement class series with Per Haaland was an excellent chance to augment my Rolf movement toolkit with immediately relevant material to my Rolfing 10 series work. After one week of class, my clients were already benefiting from some of these movement practices. Through his clear, organized, and well-presented class, it was easy to learn new skills as well as refresh on some early acquired Rolf Movement tools that needed more clarification. The supplemental class reading and videos were helpful teaching tools to allow the information to sink in between classes. There was so much rich information in this six-week class, I know I’ll be going back to review what I’ve learned for the next few months.”
“Thank you again for a wonderful Rolf Movement class. I think having the class extended throughout six weeks instead of six days helped me in finding ways to integrate highlights from each segment into my sessions with clients. I was also pleasantly surprised to see how rich in experiences this class was for my own embodiment. I’ve already witnessed a shift in my current practice throughout the duration of this course towards being even softer, simpler, and more connected through movement so thank you so much! I look forward to learning from you again.”
“Per has created a wonderful Rolf Movement class over Zoom! I was a little unsure how Rolf Movement could be shared over Zoom but Per has done it and done it well. His teaching style is humble, generous, and intelligent. He makes everyone in the class feel safe to share without judgment. He is extremely well informed and has thoughtful answers to questions. His demos are clear and he has provided pre-recorded videos of them all to review and enjoy. His timing is slow so there is no rush to absorb information and move on. He is a wonderful guide through movement practice and I left the class feeling renewed and embodied. Thank you, Per!”
“I am a starting out Rolfer of 2 years and was scheduled to take the 1&2 Rolf movement course at the Rolf Institute in Colorado. Due to what’s going on in 2020 that was pushed back and I was so excited to get that continued education. I saw that Per Haaland was having an online course on posture perception. I knew of Godard’s theory just from his paper I received from Rolf school. I had more questions than answers as we all must have had after reading it. Per did an amazing job articulating Godard’s theory as well as connecting it into movement exploration. Mind you all was done through zoom. With his guidance, knowledge, and step-by-step instructions, it felt like I was in a live-action movement class. He was very open to everyone to asking questions and having their own way of elaborating the information. Whether you are a brand new SI/Rolfer, an experienced SI/Rolfer, or an enthusiast of human movement, I would recommend this course.”
“I just finished Per’s 6-week online workshop Normal Stability and I have to say it was such a wonderful experience. He facilitated an open, nurturing, and informative container with invaluable movement explorations that I have already added to my sessions and my own personal daily life. The online platform did not hinder my experience of receiving and understanding the material – he used a couple of cameras and offered amazing notes, drawings, and videos (pre-recorded and live) in a detailed and organized manner. If you have a chance, I would highly recommend taking a class with Per.”
